SWARA-CoCoSo method-based parametric optimization of green dry milling processes

Abstract Attaining green environment for various machining processes has now caught the attention of many manufacturing industries. The input parameters involved in those are mainly responsible achieving desired performance as they directly related to process outputs. Hence, proper selection becomes vital having sustainable environment. In this paper, an integrated application step-wise weight assessment ratio analysis (SWARA) and combined compromise solution (CoCoSo) methods is presented identify optimal parametric combinations two dry milling processes. first example, cutting speed, depth cut, feed rate nose radius treated parameters, while power factor, electric consumption surface roughness responses. On other hand, second rate, cut width roughness, active energy material removal respectively considered Instead considering equal weights, SWARA method assigns relative subjective importance responses based on preference set by decision-makers, CoCoSo ranks experimental trials from best worst. derived settings finally analyzed using developed regression equations. It observed that SWARA-CoCoSo outperforms popular optimization techniques identifying intermixes improved with minimal environmental effect.
